Gert Ossenkoppele is a Professor in Translational Hematology at the VU University Medical Center, Amsterdam.
Gert Ossenkoppele was an Internist-Hematologist at the VU University Medical Center, Amsterdam, where he also obtained his PhD in Medicine. His main areas of research are in the clinical and translational research in AML. He also interested in the biology of AML/CML/MDS, immunotherapy, Minimal Residual Disease (MRD) detection using flow cytometry to inform treatment of myeloid malignancies (AML, CML and MDS).
Gert Ossenkoppele is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Oncopathology and the European Journal of Hematology. He chairs the AML working party of HOVON (Dutch-Belgian Hematology Trial Group) and is a Board member of the HOVON board. He is a lead participant of the AML Working party of the European LeukemiaNet (ELN) as well as a Board Member of ELN foundation. He is the Chair of the EHA Educational Committee and a Member of the EHA Curriculum Committee. He chairs the AML Scientific working group of EHA and is a member of the World Committee of the IACRLRD.
